Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) is a private non-profit university located in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria. Before the establishment of PAU, Lagos Business School (LBS) had started seminars in temporary premises in Victoria Island in 1991. Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) is a private non-profit university located in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria. Before the establishment of PAU, Lagos Business School (LBS) had started seminars in temporary premises in Victoria Island in 1991. In 1996, a joint executive MBA with IESE Business School began and a land for the Lekki Campus was allocated to the Lagos Business School by the State Government.
Later in 2002, the Federal Government approved the Pan-African University and the Lagos Business School became its first school. Lekki Campus was completed in 2003 and LBS began offering full-time MBA. In 2013, the University changed its name from Pan-African University to Pan-Atlantic University (PAU).
The Pan-Atlantic University started offering undergraduate bachelors programmes in accounting, business administration, and media and communication in 2014.

The Pan-Atlantic University aims to form competent and committed professionals and encourage them to serve with personal initiative and social responsibility the community in which they work, thereby helping build a better society in the country and Africa at large.
In 2007, PAU Lagos Business School was ranked among the top business schools in the area of Executive Education by the Financial Times of London and in 2017, it was among the most prestigious business schools globally in open enrollment and custom executive education and maintains this ranking over the years.
In 2018, The Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University won the Filex Award of Innovation.

Pan-Atlantic University offers several facilities which are used by the staff and students on campus. The university offers accommodation to the students by providing a male and female hostel, it also provides a school portal to the staff and students to ease communication, a library, a 100-seater multipurpose engineering studio, science and computer laboratory, not leaving out lecture halls and administrative services.

PAU has graduated some notable alumni like Nnamdi Ezeigbo – CEO of SLOT Systems Limited, Abayomi Owope – Managing Director of the SPEC Agency, Chude Jideonwo – Lawyer, and Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim – former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from Kwara State.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATES

UTME Entry Requirements
• A score of 210 or above from the 2020 JAMB exam.
• ‘O’ Level result (5 credits, Mathematics and English inclusive)
• Apply through sims.pau.edu.ng
• A candidate must be at least 16 years within the month that the session begins (for now, academic sessions in Pan-Atlantic University begin in October)
• UTME subject’s combination requirements.

Application Procedure
Candidates will be invited for a screening exercise.
On completion of our evaluation, an admission decision will be made and, if positive, an offer letter will be sent within two weeks.
An indication of the acceptance of the offer should be made by paying a deposit within two weeks.
A pre-arrival guide will be sent to successful candidates.

Accepted candidates are expected to arrive on campus at least a day before registration begins.

Direct Entry Requirement
• Two ‘A’ level credits in relevant subjects.
• International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in relevant subjects
• NCE with merit in relevant discipline.
• An OND in a relevant discipline
• An HND/Degree in a relevant discipline.

Application Procedure
Purchase the current JAMB Direct Entry Form online.
To access PAU application form, the candidate should log on to sims.pau.edu.ng click on sign up and, login, open the Direct Entry form, fill it and submit.
Pay for the PAU form with the sum of five thousand nairas (₦5,000.00) or it’s equivalent in any currency. Kindly make payment for the application form by clicking on this link.
Send hard copies of the relevant documents to the admission office. These documents are:

  • OND/HND/NCE/Degree certificate
  • ‘A’ Level/ Diploma result
  • Print out of completed JAMB Direct Entry form
  • WAEC/GCE/SSCE/IGCSE/NECO

Hard copies of relevant documents should be sent in an envelope.
Before submission, candidates should please make sure they meet our requirements.

For Inter-Transfer Students
• A transfer student must be a current student of the university from which he/she seeks to transfer and should have a clean disciplinary record.
• A transfer student from a Nigerian University is required to possess a JAMB score that is not less than the minimum score of PAU students admitted into his/her intended department in his/her admission year or the minimum JAMB score as approved in the year of admission into the university.
• A transfer student should possess the minimum Pan-Atlantic University and departmental entry requirement and should have obtained these prior to entry into the university from where the transfer is being sought.
• A transfer student shall make a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50 on a 5.00 point scale to qualify for consideration into 200 level. Students with CGPA not lower than 1.50 may be considered for admission into 100 level.
• The application should be accompanied by the student’s transcript, which will be verified.
• All application for inter-university transfer will remain open until the close of the admissions process.
**If at any stage irregularity is discovered in the papers presented by the students, such students shall be withdrawn from the University.
**A student can only transfer into the same course of study – or a similar course where applicable – that he/she was engaged in previously in his/her original university.
**The number of students offered admission by transfer shall not exceed 10% of the number of students in the class they are to join.

Complete the transfer form and submit your print out to PAU.
To access PAU application form, the candidate should go to sims.pau.edu.ng click on sign up and, login, open the inter-university transfer form, fill it and submit.

POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Masters Degree
• Five credit passes including English and Mathematics at the Ordinary Level for Anglophone applicants.
• A minimum of a second-class lower university degree from a recognized university
• A minimum of three year’s post-qualification work experience
• A competitive NMAT, Essential Skills Assessment (ESA), GMAT or GRE score.

Supporting Documents
• A completed online application form
• Three reference forms to be completed within the online application by your referees
• Copies of O’Level and university degree certificates (statements of results are acceptable)
• Official Transcripts sent after you have been admitted (these may be sent directly by your former school)
• Curriculum Vitae
• Copy of the NYSC Certificate or Letter of Exemption for Nigerians only
• English language proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) for non-native English speakers is strongly advised.
• A passport photograph

PhD PROGRAMMES
• Master’s degrees in the related discipline with a CGPA of 5.0 out of 7, or 3.0 out of 4 or 60% overall graded point.

Lagos is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world and one of the most populous urban areas in Africa. it has now grown into a megacity with the fourth-highest GDP in Africa. It has one of the largest and busiest seaports on the continent. Lagos has a culture displayed in its popular music, football, and its famous cuisine.

It has a tropical savanna climate characterised by dry and raining seasons. The city of Lagos is an economic focal point in Nigeria, responsible for generating around 10% of the country’s GDP.

Lagos has the tallest skyline in Nigeria. Its architectural designs are diverse, ranging from tropical, colonial European to ultramodern buildings. Sports is one of the most important activities carried out in Lagos, that is why the city has the National Stadium and the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

Lagos has the most extensive road network in West Africa and a bus rapid transit (BRT) system. This system is projected to transport about 10,000 passengers in each direction per hour during peak travel times. It equally runs an extensive urban rail system and the busiest airport in Africa that services flights in and out of the city.

Lagos has many medical centres that have accomplished considerable feats in Nigeria’s medical history. The city encourages leisure and entertainment through its movie industry. The city has several hotel, restaurants and shopping malls that offer very affordable services.

The city houses several private and public schools at different levels like the Lagos State University and the Ai Multimedia Academy. Finally, the city provides avenues for worship such as the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (World Communion of Reformed Churches), the Nigerian Baptist Convention (Baptist World Alliance) and the Muslim mosques.

Eligibility
• Candidates must display evidence of high academic achievement before and during their course of study as well as a need for financial assistance.

Tuition
• Tuition fee aid/scholarships will be offered to 15% per cent of our students. 5% will be on virtually full scholarships while 10% will be on partial scholarships.

**Students on scholarships and others who wish to may receive further financial aid by participating in the work-study programme. Students on the work-study programme work at different jobs in the University and are paid for the number of hours of work they put in per month. They may work for a maximum of 20 hours per week.
