The Christian Service University College (CSUC) is a private non-profit university located in Kumasi, Ghana. It was established in 1974 as a theological seminary. The development of the university was led by the vision of the Ghanaian Christians to start an interdenominational, high academic standard evangelic institution.

The Christian Service University College (CSUC) is a private non-profit university located in Kumasi, Ghana. It was established in 1974 as a theological seminary. The development of the university was led by the vision of the Ghanaian Christians to start an interdenominational, high academic standard evangelic institution.
As well as the vision of the emigrant missionaries who also had a desire to produce workers from the already thriving church in southern Ghana and the nearby countries that did not have well-established churches. The two groups then met and decided to merge their visions, and classes began in 1974.

The most notable faculty of the University is the Faculty of Health and Applied Science, known for having credible affiliation with other established clinical institutions to offer the essential exposure for clinical skills and competence in the respective programmes.
Another reputable school is the School of Business, known for producing high calibre, hands-on, competent and competitive business professionals for both the local and international business market.
CSUC has as mission statement, to promote knowledge for the training of men and women in Christian values and principles, academic and professional excellence for the transformation of society.

CSUC offers several facilities to its students such as an auditorium for presentations, seminars, conferences and workshops, and function rooms for events and parties.
In 2019, CSUC Centre for Research and Business Development (CRBD) won a high consultancy bid from Gold Fields Ghana Limited (GFG), with aims to give its students rich market-oriented skills.

The Christain Service University College has graduated some notable alumni like Bernice Dapaah – Entrepreneur, Kennedy Kwasi Kankam – Politician, and Abena Durowaa Mensah – Politician.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements
Candidates applying for undergraduate programmes must have either of the following:
Candidates must have six (6) WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in any three (3) core subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies plus three (3) credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in elective subjects.
GCE ‘A’ Level passes in two (2) subjects plus five (5) credits at the GCE ‘O’ Level, including English Language and Mathematics.
For Post-Secondary Teacher Certificate, the applicant must have ‘A’ from GES plus five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
ABCE candidates with three (3) or more passes, and possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE including passes in English Language and Mathematics, may be admitted to level 200.
Those with two (2) passes or less may be admitted to level 100.
GBCE Candidates with passes in five (5) subjects including English Language and Business Mathematics qualify for level 100.

Mature Entry
Applicants must attain 25 years or above and should be able to provide evidence either by birth certificate, passport, driver’s licence etc which is recognized in Ghana.
Applicants will undertake an access course programme after which they would be examined on 3 subjects namely: English Language, Mathematics and Information Technology.

International Students
Applicants with similar qualification or its equivalence (as specified above) can apply for admission consideration.
Applicants should have a valid passport.
Applicants should be ready to acquire a resident permit and abide by the regulations governing the status of foreigners in Ghana.

Postgraduate Admission Requirements
For MSc Monitoring and Evaluation
Applicants must be holders of good undergraduate degrees in the Social Sciences, Business and Public Administration, Agriculture, Building Technology, Architecture, Engineering and Planning from recognized universities with at least Second Class lower division.
A minimum of two years of working experience.

For MA Christian Ministry with Management
A good first degree (not below 2nd class lower division) in Theology, Divinity or Religious Studies from an accredited institution.
A good first degree (not below 2nd class lower division) in fields other than Theology, Divinity or Religious Studies from an accredited institution.
Candidates must possess some experience in church work or related ministries, e.g. as church leader/evangelist / Bible teacher / Sunday School teacher/administrator/project officer, etc.
A supporting recommendation by the applicant’s church pastor or ministry leader would be required.
In line with the admission policy of the Theology Department of the University College, all applicants would be required to attend an interview.

For MSc Accounting and Finance
BSc. / BBA/ BA in Accounting and/ or Finance, B. Commerce and/ or Finance degrees (at least 2nd Class Lower Division).
Other undergraduate degrees, at least 2nd Class Upper Division; 2nd Class Lower Division degree may be considered subject to interview performance.
Final Certificate of the ICAG, ACCA and similar professional qualifications.
Post-graduate certificates in Accounting and/or Finance.

The Christian Service University College is located in Kumasi. Other universities located in this city are the Kumasi Technical University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the Garden City University College, and Research Institutes for Crops and Soil.

Kumasi is among the largest metropolitan cities in Ghana and it is the capital city of the Ashanti Region, in Southern Ghana. It was founded in the late 17th century on the crossroads of Trans-Saharan trade routes by the Asantehene Osei Tutu.
Asante king chose the site for his capital and conducted land negotiations under a tree called Kum, hence came the town’s name.
The main inhabitants were the Asantene. It has an estimated population of about 2.7million inhabitants. The climate in Kumasi has an average temperature of 26.3°C with an annual rainfall of 1448mm. The main religion in Kumasi is Christianity and the rest are Muslims.
The main economy is Kumasi is trade, mining and exports. They mine and export Gold bars and cocoa. The Kumasi people have a culture which is characterized by celebrations, whether for child-birth, death, marriage or puberty.

There are several beautiful landmarks in Kumasi like Fort Kumasi Museum, Kumasi National Cultural Centre; Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, the Okomfo Anokye Sword, the Asantehene’s Palace and the Manhyia Museum.
Kumasi is the Zone for commercial, industrial and residential areas where inhabitants make a living. Handicrafts are also sources of income for the population. The city has 50% of Ghana’s timber industry, it also houses the Guinness Ghana Breweries.
