Giza is a city located at the west bank of the Nile, near Cairo in Egypt. Giza has an estimated population of over 8.8 million inhabitants. In Giza, the summers are long, hot, humid, arid, and clear and the winters are cool, dry, and mostly clear.

Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 10 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius and is rarely below 7 degrees Celsius or above 38 degrees Celsius. The main religion in Egypt is Islam.

Giza served as the necropolis of several pharaohs who ruled ancient Egypt, during the 2nd millennium BC. Three of these tombs, in the form of giant pyramids, are what is now the famed Pyramids of Giza. The culture of Egyptians is defined by their pyramids.

Giza has several pyramids which are the largest and most recognizable pyramid structures in the world. They were built to honour certain Pharaohs of the fourth ruling dynasty of Egypt during a period known as the Old kingdom.

Giza is most famous as the location of the Giza plateau which is the site of some of the most impressive ancient monuments in the world like the ancient Egyptian royal mortuary and sacred structures. The city is home to the first zoo on the entire African continent and one of the oldest in the Mediterranean region, the Giza Zoo. More so, there are several parks, Orman Park being the most famous which means Forest Park in the Turkish language.

Giza has experienced changes in infrastructure by various rulers including the British in the 18th and early 20th centuries. The city has well-constructed road networks facilitated by taxi cabs, microbuses, personal vehicles and streets that ease the movement of its inhabitants in and out of the city. It also has an extensive rail system, subway system and maritime services to easy transportation.

The Sphinx International Airport is a public airport serving the city of Giza. Not leaving out well-constructed buildings and many luxurious apartment buildings along the Nile, making it a popular place to live. Giza has nine districts and neighbourhoods.
