All Nations University (ANU) is a private university situated in Koforidua, Ghana and established in October 2005. The university was founded by Rev. Dr Samuel Donkor in 1988 when he sought for permission for the establishment of the All Nations University. However, it was not later than in 1996 that the master plan was presented to the National Accreditation Board. Upon approval by the board, the All Nations University College was incorporated in 1996 and subsequently received its accreditation in 2005. On 28th May 2020, it was granted a presidential charter by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Ado to become a fully autonomous university.

ANU has two main campuses in Koforidua; the Main Campus and the City Campus. The university has a total student enrollment of about 4000 redistributed amongst its different schools. It is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and equally works in collaboration with the SRM Institute of Science and Technology in India. ANU has set its priorities at providing quality higher education that promoted development and raise leaders with Christian values and ethics to serve the society.

All Nations university owns several university facilities which have been adapted to suit the needs of both the student and the staff of the institution. Some of these facilities are a modern school cafeteria, ANU hostels for students, a Robotics laboratory, student’s recreational grounds, a school Health Unit, the ANU Research Centre and a space science Technology laboratory. ANU’s quest to preserve nature saw the institution receive 1000 trees seedlings by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in July 2020.

All Nations University has earned its reputation as one of higher institutions most technologically advanced in Ghana. One of the University’s greatest achievements amongst many was in 2017 when a group of students built the first satellite in Ghana and in Subsaharan Africa within a 2-year period. Over the years, the establishment had received some honours like: The most Prestigious University of the Year in 2013. In that same year still ANU received the Europe Business Assembly Prestigious International Award, given by Oxford University. prior to those in 2012, ANU also received the World commitment Award, under the gold category.

Undergraduate Requirement
Candidate applying for entry into undergraduate programmes at the All Nations University must meet up with the following requirements:

­Applicants must have at least 3 passes in core subjects in either of the following certificates:
Candidates with SSSCE must D grade better in three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies) and three (3) elective subject.
Candidates with WASSCE must have Grade C6 or better in 3 core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and 3 electives subjects.
Candidates with the GCE A-Level must have 3 subjects with at least one Grade D or better.
GCE A-Level applicants must have equally 5 O-Level passes including English, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject for Science students.

For Mature entry applicants, they shall meet up the following requirements:
Must be at least 25 year’s old
Candidates must show proof of age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof which is at least 5 years old at the time of application.
Candidates must provide an introductory letter from employer or any proof of employment.
candidates must have relevant work experience, education and passes in WASSCE/SSCE English and Mathematics. OR
Should have equivalent academic qualifications like Teachers’ Certificates and short-term diplomas from accredited institutions.
Mature students may also be required to pass an internal Mature Students’ Entrance Examination.
Candidates with a Teachers’ Certificate holders must pass the mature student examination, and will be admitted into Level 100 if successful.

Requirements for International Students
All foreign applicants would be referred to the National Accreditation Board for determination of their equivalence and eligibility for admission into Ghanaian institutions of higher learning.
All international students whose language is not English Language are required to provide a proof of English Proficiency or Undergo a supplementary class for English proficiency.*It is important to note that the American SAT, TOEFL etc. cannot in themselves be acceptable as entry qualifications into Ghanaian tertiary educational institutions.

Requirements for Applicants with HND or Equivalent
The HND must be in an area of study relevant to the proposed programme of study.
Applicants with a 1st Class must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Successful applicants will be admitted directly into Level 300.
Applicants with 2nd Class Honors (Upper or Lower Divisions), must have at least 1 (one) year of relevant work experience. Successful applicants will be admitted to Level 200.
Applicants with 3rd Class or lower must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Successful applicants will be admitted to Level 100.

Specific Computer Science (Honours) Requirements:
Applicants for the Computer Science (Honours) programme must have at least a credit pass in Physics and Elective Mathematics.
*in cases not named in the above requirements, the candidates will be required to obtain an Equivalence letter from the National Accreditation Board to assist the Admission Board in its decision.
*Other combinations of credentials will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis.
*Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) qualification cannot, in itself, be used for admission into tertiary education institutions and programmes.

Koforidua is a town located in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The city is as well the capital of the Eastern Region in southern Ghana. It was founded in 1875 by the Akan migrants from Asanteman. History holds it that, the city owes its name to a man, Kofi Ofori, who had built his hut under a huge mahogany tree.
Its economy is defined by agriculture with cocoa being the main product. It is known as the country’s oldest cocoa-producing centres and known for its weekly Thursday bead market. The people of Koforidua also practice several other trades like crafts, local soap manufacturing, carpentry and pottery. Koforidua has an annual temperature that varies from 22.2°C to 35°C.

There are several tourism sites which include the Obuo Tabri Mountain, the Akodombo Dam, Lake Volta, Akaa falls, Boti falls, and the Umbrella Rock. The city is home to several top industries like Intravenous infusion Ltd, Amtech computer solutions, Vodafone, Global Sourcing & Supply and Nestlé.
