Programme Overview

Bachelor of Arts programs in psychology covers several areas of the field, such as abnormal, physiological and developmental psychology. Some programs offer a concentration in a relevant field, such as human development or organizational psychology. Furthermore, psychology students are encouraged to engage in research and participate in internships or other hands-on activities.

Admission Requirements

a) KCSE with C+ (plus) Mean grade; Or KCSE with C (plain) and a KNEC Diploma or its equivalent from a recognized Institution; Or KCSE with C- (minus) plus a Certificate and a KNEC Diploma or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
b) Any other qualifications equivalent to the above from any institution recognized by the University

**Applications should be made on prescribed forms obtainable from the MMU website ( or the office of Corporate Affairs at MMU Main Campus OR the Director’s Office at MMU Nairobi CBD Campus located at Uniafric House, Fourth Floor, Loita Street, upon payment of a non-refundable application fee shown: CERTIFICATE = Kshs.500.00; DIPLOMA = Kshs.500.00; BACHELORS = Kshs.1000.00; MASTERS = Kshs.1500.00

Applicants should provide the following documents:
– Copy of National ID / Passport / Birth Certificate OR any other document(s) that can be used to identify the new Student.
– Copy of KCSE result slips/KCSE Certificate, Leaving Certificate and any other Academic transcripts (where applicable).
– 4 Coloured Passport Photos
– Medical Report

** The Multimedia University of Kenya has three intakes: January (Application Deadline = 19 November 2020), May (Application Deadline = March 2021) and September.

Tuition Fees for Kenyan and East African applicants: $1,094
Tuition Fees for International Students: $1,313

Tuition fee per year for Kenyan Students = Kshs 120,400
Tuition fee per year for International Students = Kshs 144,480
– Students from Countries in the East African  Community (EAC), pay the same amount as Kenyan Students. The six countries in the East African Community include; Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
– International students who are not in the East African Community (EAC), pay 20% more than the others for tuition fees.
All students must pay full fees on the reporting day. The payments will be in form of bank deposit slips with their full names and admission numbers written on them as they appear in their Letter of Offer.
