The purpose of this qualification is to strengthen students’ knowledge and comprehension in the disciplines of property valuation and management. The programme comprises a broad-based curriculum to prepare the postgraduate student for a wide range of property-related specialities.
The curriculum includes topic areas ranging from property valuation and property law to property finance and property management. The programme emphasises application, analysis and evaluation within each topic area as well as the application of integrity and ethics in a professional environment.
Mastering of the curriculum will provide students with the skills to combine complex valuation, management, financial and legal principles in order to add value to the entities that employ them.
The successful student will gain an overall property valuation and property management perspective which will provide them with a competitive advantage for employment and prepare them for further studies in this field.

A potential student must be in possession of an appropriate Bachelor’s degree or another relevant qualification assessed at NQF level 7 with a minimum average of 65% obtained in the final year modules.
The department may require the completion of a bridging programme should students not comply with the rules of access regarding the specific subject knowledge in Property Valuation and Management.
Final admission requirements will from time to time be set by the department.

*The normal Tuition Fees for South African Students is R34,845
35% of the tuition fees need to be paid by April, and 100% by July.
All students must pay at least R3,870 before they begin their studies while students residing on campus will need to pay at least R6,470 before the begin.
*In addition to normal tuition fees, students from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) member countries and other African Countries pay a non-refundable ICT levy, a registration fee, and a non-refundable international levy of R2,000.
*In addition to normal tuition fees, students from the rest of the world (outside Africa) pay a non-refundable ICT levy, a registration fee, plus a non-refundable international levy of R17,000

The SADC member countries are Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
For International Students:
**International Student Tuition Fees = Normal Tuition Fee (R34,845) + International Levy (R2,000) + ICT Levy (R430) +Registration Fee (R610) = R37,885
-an upfront payment of 30% of tuition fees should be paid at registration.
-then 35% of the tuition fees should be paid by next 30 April.
-and the final 35% of the tuition fees should be paid by 31 July.
The University will offer a 5% discount should all fees be paid at registration.
Fees generally increase between 5 and 15 percent per year. Please contact the University in December to obtain the approved fees for the 2021 academic year.
