Engineering is the profession in which the knowledge of basic sciences and that earned from engineering studies, experience and practice are applied to develop, and to create methods, machinery and equipment with optimum use of materials and resources for the benefit of humankind.
True to the above definition, the strive is to meet the challenges of engineering and along with that aspires to achieve a mutual supportive balance among undergraduate and graduate education, research and service to the community
– The program takes 5 years
a) KCSE with C+ (plus) mean grade or its equivalent as determined by KNEC, with a minimum of C+ (plus) in the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics/Physical Sciences, Chemistry/Biological Sciences and English or Kiswahili;
b) Higher National Diploma/Diploma (from KNEC or any Institution recognized by University Senate) with C+ (plus) in Mathematics and Physics in KCSE;
c) Any other qualification(s) recognized by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above.
Application Guidelines:
**Applications should be made on prescribed forms obtainable from the MMU website (www.mmu.ac.ke) or the office of Corporate Affairs at MMU Main Campus OR the Director’s Office at MMU Nairobi CBD Campus located at Uniafric House, Fourth Floor, Loita Street, upon payment of a non-refundable application fee shown: CERTIFICATE = Kshs.500.00; DIPLOMA = Kshs.500.00; BACHELORS = Kshs.1000.00; MASTERS = Kshs.1500.00
Applicants should provide the following documents:
– Copy of National ID / Passport / Birth Certificate OR any other document(s) that can be used to identify the new Student.
– Copy of KCSE result slips/KCSE Certificate, Leaving Certificate and any other Academic transcripts (where applicable).
– 4 Coloured Passport Photos
– Medical Report
NOTE:
** The Multimedia University of Kenya has three intakes: January (Application Deadline = 19 November 2020), May (Application Deadline = March 2021) and September.

Tuition fee per year for Kenyan Students = Kshs 180,000
Tuition fee per year for International Students = Kshs 216,000
– Students from Countries in the East African Community (EAC), pay the same amount as Kenyan Students. The six countries in the East African Community include; Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
– International students who are not in the East African Community (EAC), pay 20% more than the others for tuition fees.
NOTE:
All students must pay full fees on the reporting day. The payments will be in form of bank deposit slips with their full names and admission numbers written on them as they appear in their Letter of Offer.
