Programme Overview

The purpose of the Johannesburg Business School (JBS) is clear:  to equip people to grow small- and medium-sized businesses and by so doing create jobs and expand the economy.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for the MBA you need to have:
– A completed South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) accredited NQF 8 qualification
– SAQA certificate for all qualifications completed outside SA (international)
– A minimum of four years’ work experience for the part-time programme
– A level of mathematics literacy: NQF 04 matriculation pass in mathematics or equivalent (preferred but not essential) i.e., demonstrated mathematics literacy
– Be proficient in English (verbally and written format)
– Successfully complete the JBS MBA admissions assessment requirements

Admission requirements for international students:
– SA study permit for international applicants

International Students / Foreign Qualifications:

Applicants who hold a foreign qualification need to send their qualifications to the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) for evaluation before applying to JBS. We require the SAQA certificate to verify the NQF level of your qualification.

*The normal Tuition Fees for South African Students is R260,000

*In addition to normal tuition fees, students from the rest of the world (outside Africa) pay a non-refundable ICT levy, a registration fee, plus a non-refundable international levy of R17,000

*In addition to normal tuition fees, students from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) member countries and other African Countries pay a non-refundable ICT levy, a registration fee, and a non-refundable international levy of R2,000.

*In addition to normal tuition fees, students from the rest of the world (outside Africa) pay a non-refundable ICT levy, a registration fee, plus a non-refundable international levy of R17,000
