Programme Overview

Through the dedicated efforts of the faculty and students, competitive graduates have continued to be produce who continue to make exceptional contribution to the ICT industry. It is most likely that one will find the institutions alumni in many credible  organizations.

The faculty is progressing towards becoming an international leader in ICT research and innovation.  To achieve this, the faculty has taken measures to create a conducive environment by setting up the state of art training laboratories and the Information Access Centre.

Admission Requirements

KCSE mean grade of C+ and a minimum of C in both English, Physics and Mathematics or A-Level two principal passes and one subsidiary pass in the relevant subjects or relevant professional qualifications approved by the University Senate.

Application Guidelines:
**Applications should be made on prescribed forms obtainable from the MMU website (www.mmu.ac.ke) or the office of Corporate Affairs at MMU Main Campus OR the Director’s Office at MMU Nairobi CBD Campus located at Uniafric House, Fourth Floor, Loita Street, upon payment of a non-refundable application fee shown: CERTIFICATE = Kshs.500.00; DIPLOMA = Kshs.500.00; BACHELORS = Kshs.1000.00; MASTERS = Kshs.1500.00

Applicants should provide the following documents:
– Copy of National ID / Passport / Birth Certificate OR any other document(s) that can be used to identify the new Student.
– Copy of KCSE result slips/KCSE Certificate, Leaving Certificate and any other Academic transcripts (where applicable).
– 4 Coloured Passport Photos
– Medical Report

NOTE:
** The Multimedia University of Kenya has three intakes: January (Application Deadline = 19 November 2020), May (Application Deadline = March 2021) and September.

Career Opportunities

Computer architects design, build and maintain complex computer data networks including wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs) and intranets. They also design, develop and install computer hardware and physical computer systems. They are also responsible for maintaining, upgrading and optimizing computer hardware and equipment.

Tuition Fees for Kenyan and East African applicants: $1,410
Tuition Fees for International Students: $1,692

Tuition fee per year for Kenyan Students = Kshs 155,232
Tuition fee per year for International Students = Kshs 186,278
– Students from Countries in the East African  Community (EAC), pay the same amount as Kenyan Students. The six countries in the East African Community include; Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
– International students who are not in the East African Community (EAC), pay 20% more than the others for tuition fees.
NOTE
:
All students must pay full fees on the reporting day. The payments will be in form of bank deposit slips with their full names and admission numbers written on them as they appear in their Letter of Offer.
