Businesses in the 21st century are experiencing profound challenges, which include the need to seek new market opportunities, develop new products that meet the changing demands of customers globally. The continued growth of international business and economic interdependence among nations make international management skills mandatory. Moreover, today the lines between international and domestic operations are gone and continue to blur.
Many companies look for ideas, workers, materials, and customers everywhere. Accordingly, “the scope of every business and every manager is the world”. The program addresses this world wide growing demand for graduates with managerial capability in transactional business and economics.The School of Business and Management of Kampala International University recognizes the fact that the world rotates on Business Skills.
It is therefore the duty of the School to provide relevant subjects to students who are interested in the Business Courses so as to advance them with theoretical and practical knowledge of their respective specialization as far as businesses are concerned.
The Bachelor of International Business Administration is designed in response to the demands for strong and competent Global Business Managers on the world market. It takes into account the fact that global developments put emphasis on competence and skills in management.

The Bachelor of International Business program is designed to equip young prospective managers with the knowledge and skills needed to manage transnational businesses.
– To train well-rounded and effective global managers who are able to understand and respond to the competitive international business environment
– To impart entrepreneurial knowledge needed to do business internationally as well as locally

– To be recognized and referenced as the foremost institution of higher learning in East Africa for those seeking studies in Business Administration with an emphasis on International Banking.
– To become the preferred choice of employers in the banking industry for committed, knowledgeable and up-to-date workforce in Uganda.
To generate and transmit knowledge as well as develop the skills and attitudes amongst our students that prepares them for a career in the Ugandan and international financial and banking industries.
Philosophy of the Programme:
This programme is designed to provide students with the general knowledge of business education and to prepare them for a role in business. For this particular course, there is a distinct emphasis on Finance and Banking.
All candidates for admission must meet the School’s general requirements.
Students may enter the program through the following schemes:
Direct Entry Scheme: For admission under the Direct Entry scheme, a candidate must have the U.C.E (or equivalent) and obtained a certificate; and should have obtained at least 2 advanced level passes in economics and another subject at the same sitting of U.A.C.E or its equivalent.
Diploma Holders Scheme: A candidate must have: (a) at least one principal pass at A Level with a Diploma in Business Studies from KIU or any other recognized institution.
Mature Entry Scheme: A limited number of students may also be admitted to the program if they have sat and passed a Mature Entry Exam set by Kampala International University.
Kampala International University admits 3 times in a year; in December/January, March/April and August/September.

The application fee is 50,000Ug.shs for both Ugandans and International students (non-Ugandans). For online applicants, the application fee is paid to the Finance Office when you report collecting the original admission.
Step 2: Complete the application forms clearly and enclose or attach the following:
– 3 photocopies of each ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level Secondary school result slips or equivalent [Diploma and Bachelor Degree] and three certified copies of transcripts of Bachelor and Master Degrees [postgraduate degrees].
– A photocopy of a receipt for payment for the application form.
– 3 recent passport size photographs.
– Photocopies of Birth Certificate/ National ID/ Passport
