Programme Overview

The programme is intended to produce competent graduates who are able to integrate agricultural components in farming systems, identify farmer’s problem and provide viable technical solutions in the framework of the available resources. The graduates are expected to be conversant with different types of agricultural industries, from the smallholder farmers, cooperative unions to large scale production both in the field and in greenhouses. Moreover, the graduates are expected to master skills on marketing of agricultural products as well as planning. Organization, management and administration of agricultural enterprises.

Learning Outcome
At the end of the programme the candidate will be able to:
– Improve crop and livestock production outputs and profits
– Build sustainable crop and livestock enterprises in tropical settings.
– Apply Scientific knowledge relevant to agriculture, management of the natural resources and the environment
– upport farmers and livestock keepers on crop and livestock production
– Implement agricultural research relevant to the needs of the farmers.
– Competent Agricultural managers are groomed here

Admission Requirements

Two Principal passes (4 points) in Biology/Botany and Chemistry/Physics/ Mathematics/Science and Practice in Agriculture OR Diploma with a GPA of not less than 3.0 in Agriculture or related fields and THREE credits or FOUR passes in relevant science subjects at O-level.
