Launched in August 2020, AfriUni.com is a pan-African higher education platform conceived by the “African Universities Promotion Initiative”.
A Vision of the Future
Finding information about the courses offered at universities in African countries has traditionally been very difficult.
Prospective students and their parents have to travel sometimes for hundreds of kilometers to university campuses in order to get detailed information about the courses on offer.
Nowadays, the youths prefer to access information right on their smartphones. It’s cheaper and more convenient than travelling.
In 2017, after his own brother struggled to find a suitable bachelor’s programme, our founder Mako Gilbert started to envision a centralised platform that will aggregate universities all across Africa and the study programmes they offer.
Building the Future Now
Today AfriUni.com enables students and their parents to search thousands of courses and explore hundreds of universities across Africa.
Courses are categorised by Field of Study like engineering, healthcare, Science, Agriculture, Technology, Humanities etc.
Courses can also be filtered by country, by city, by specialization, by Level of study etc.
Students/Parents can compare tuition fees for a particularly specialization at several universities across Africa and then decide which option is more affordable for them.
